Fabrications is an artist run gallery dedicated to all aspects of textiles and design (in the widest sense!).
Opened in June 2000 in a newly refurbished shop on Broadway Market in East London, it has hosted a wide range of solo and group shows.
Broadway Market has been undergoing regeneration with new shops, craft outlets, bars and award winning restaurants with a growing Saturday Farmers style street market and other speciality, quality items. It is also close to other prestigious East End galleries. Fabrications is a modern light space with white walls, wooden floor and a large shop window display area onto Broadway Market.

The floor space is approximately 40sq m with 3 wall spaces of 2.7m (height) x 2.75m, 2.35m and 4.5m. There is a rail hanging system below the ceiling and behind the window display area as well as 2 cabinets and mannequins / dummies (if required). The space is available for hire for a reasonable weekly rate plus a small commission on sales. We are open to all kinds of proposals for exhibitions and events as well as film and photography shoots.

HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
Applications are welcome from artists, designer makers and recent graduates (fine, textile, fashion, costume, interior furnishings) for solo or group shows. Please send recent CV, images and a brief exhibition outline with an sae.

COSTINGS
We provide the space, but the artist(s) / designer(s) are responsible for transport, hanging / take down of the work, private view, press, invites and invigilating. However we are on hand for advice, support and invigilating can be organized if artists / designers are based outside of London.

PUBLICITY
We can publicize shows in free listings (if provided with exhibition description details 1 – 2 months + in advance) although inclusion is not always guaranteed. We can also advise you on low cost advertising (eg Crafts Magazine, AN Magazine) We can e-mail an invitation (if provided) to the private view / show to our e-mailing list, which comprises of press, previous clients and visitors.

LIABILITY
All work must be freestanding or hung from the picture rails provided – no drilling into walls permitted. The space must be restored to the manner it was found at the artist’s / designer’s expense. The artist must be security minded and responsible when invigilating The gallery is insured for public liability but not for the artist’s / designer’s work.
